Highland Perthshire Marathon Feedback
Listed below is just some of the fantastic feedback the Highland Perthshire Marathon has had:
I just want to say a huge thank you to everybody involved in the organisation and marshalling of this wonderful event. It was my 99th marathon and now lists in my top 10. From the free camping - with our own portaloo - to well stocked and plentiful water stations (I didn't need to use anything that I was carrying as there were plenty gels and bars), the toilets at the water stops, the wonderfully cheery support from the marshals and the shuttle bus back to the start. Incredibly well organised, I needed for nothing. What a beautiful and pretty route, I was happy to do a second loop. And the medal engraving was fab - especially to have 99th marathon put on it! Plus a shower and plentiful coffee before my long drive home. Thank you all so much, I will be back!
“Great day on Saturday - thanks to all involved in organising, marshalling, catering - everything! Really enjoyed it. See you next year!”
“We’re just home from holiday and have just opened the medals for the Highland Perthshire Marathon (cycle). I wanted to say how much we enjoyed the event, and the ceilidh in the evening finished off the weekend perfectly! Thanks to all who were involved in the organisation,”
What a wonderful event this is :) beautiful route and so well organized. Thoroughly enjoyed it- the marshals were all amazing.
“Many thanks for putting on and organising Highland Perthshire Marathon & Half-Marathon. This was my first race in over 25 years, having reached my 60th birthday in June. My son decided I needed to celebrate like the old days. Around 15 of us had a great day and I was delighted with the stewarding throughout the 13 miles I ran. The organisation at start and particularly the finish was excellent. I was so glad of the tea and biscuits at the end. Thanks again to everyone who made the day a huge success for all of us who participated.”
Brilliant race again this year. Really enjoyed the course and organising was really good. Well done to all the runners and cyclists!!!!
“A special "thank you!" to the lovely ladies at the refreshments stall after the finish, just what I needed after such a tough run! Well done, and see you next year!”
Great event again everyone. Big thanks to all the marshalls again and the cheer team at Kenmore, first aiders and drink station helpers. Cracking day. See you next year
“I completed the half marathon yesterday, and should like to thank each of you for what I feel was the best of 17 different ‘runs’ I have completed over 20 years or more, (including the London Marathon, Great North Run, Edinburgh and Glasgow runs). I enjoy running on my own and am never disappointed in being near the back....my aim is to finish and as mentioned, enjoy the day, and the friendly, informal run you organise made for a most enjoyable day.”
"What a fantastic cycle, the miles just disappeared as I enjoyed the views around the course"
"What a great event, I ran a half marathon then cycled around the route! It's the first time ever that the kids have been able to come and watch me run and cycle. We'll be back next year 2017 as the event will include a cycle sportive for kids 13 years and above so the whole family will be taking part."
"This must be one of the best organised and Friendly events in Scotland. What a weekend, from the moment we arrived through to the celeidh in the evening then free camping! I think it's the first time the kids have asked if they could go back to an event!"
"The route through the grounds of Taymouth Castle is fantastic, what a backdrop!"
"I have taken part in the Caledonian Etape for a number of years and my long suffering family come along to support me. Now HPM starting 2017 will include a cycling sportive that they can actually join in and enjoy the fantastic scenery that Highland Perthshire has to offer. Well done to the Rotary Club."
Thanks again for such a fun, friendly and well organised day. A special thank you to the fantastic Doctor and Paramedics who made sure I was OK at then end after going over on my ankle at mile 25!
